Rules: Competitions has been held under UIM Rulebook.


Race course: Two buoys


Start: Start from jetty. Start signal given with start lights.


Race format: Three heats. All heats shall be included in total result.


Participation in event: All participants must have valid driver’s national license issued by Latvian, Lithuanian or Estonian motorsports federation. Participants from other countries must have International drivers licence issued by their NA.


Boat numbers:
In the case if there are two boats with same start numbers, this number will keep the participant who will register the first in race secretary. All boat must have racing number and national symbol as per UIM Rulebook paragraph 206.01.


Insurance: All participants have to be insured properly. Minimal limit is 1000 LVL.


Responsibility: Authorized representatives (one of parents or responsible trainer) of all participants will have to sign the document where to confirm that participation of competitor in this event is on his risk and responsibility.


Drivers briefing: According to day schedule. Participant can be refused from competitions or penalized with 25 LVL if he doesn’t attend drivers briefing.


Free practice: is allowed only after passing technical inspection, driver’s registration and mandatory drivers briefing. Practice shall be run on race course only. Any other free practice except official are not allowed. Driver who will ignore this rule will be disqualified.


Technical inspection: Any boat can be refused from competition if doesn’t pass technical inspection before competitions.


Jury: One representative from each club that shall be submitted before end of drivers registration (before 09:00 on June 27, 2009).


Additional rules: Every boat MUST have fire extinguishers.


Interruption of the race: Race can be interrupted by Officer of the day if:

- any serious accident has happened,

- any of participants is in the water

If the race has been interrupted, it must be restarted with full quantity of laps. It’s allowed to add fuel if necessary.


Destroying of the buoys: Club is responsible for the buoys destroyed by their participants. If driver participates individually, responsible is driver himself. Penalty for destroyed buoy is 200 Ls and according to UIM Rulebook.


Finish: Finish of the heat will be signalized with white and black chequed flag. To get the points in the heat, participant has to finish at least 75% of the distance and has to cross finish line.


Point system: according to UIM rulebook paragraph 318. In case if there are participants with same total points, higher position will get the participant that has better average speed or result in last heat.


Protests: Protests shall be submitted within time and form according to UIM Rulebook paragraph No 403 in Latvian or English. Protests must be submitted to race secretary and they shall be addressed to jury of competitions. Protest fee is 50 LVL or equal in Euro


Prize fund: Prize fund consists of cups for the first three positions.


Environment: All boats must be equipped with oil and fuel absorbing covers to avoid fuel and oil getting in environment.

Every competitor is responsible to clean environment around(UIM Rulebook 704).

Competitors are obligated to avoid any possible pollution of environment and to keep his used place as well as cars, trailers and boats clean.


Other Rules: Organizer keeps rights:

For organization reasons to do any changes in these rules and day schedule and publish the changes if any,

test all participants with alcometer,

Organizer requires mandatory participation of all competitors in all official opening and closing ceremonies.

Competitors are welcomed to use official symbols and dresses of their clubs.


All other information will be published in drivers briefing.


Start time can be changed on the day of the event, that will be announced in drivers briefing or informed representatives of the clubs.
